  26.     My experience w/Software Hut

  28.     1) They advertise products they don't sell, if you refer to an 
  29. add, as recent as the publishing media gets, they feign lack of 
  30. knowledge. For the last four months they have been advertising the Gloc, 
  31. I have called them each month and tried to order them, I have been 
  32. laughed at, hung up on, and met with the Uhhh response. I do not know if 
  33. this is a problem with the new manufacturer or what but and honest 
  34. response would be appreciated. When I refer to their adds in AC they 
  35. were not handy. I did this yet once again this morning (mon am 1.15.96), 
  36. four months is enough lead time for the publishing field. If they are not 
  37. going to have it DON'T ADVERTISE IT.
  38.     2) If you have problems/doubts about the ability of the person on 
  39. the line ask POLITELY to ask for someone who may have more specific 
  40. knowledge in the area you are looking for. Yes they may take this as an 
  41. insult and may hang up.
  42.     3) In the past before the collapse I have ordered regularly from 
  43. them with few problems (mostly restock/switched products).
  44.     4) I know this sounds lame but, they have a FAX line if after 
  45. checking availability on products and you are in doubt FAX your order in. 
  46. Be VERY specific about what you are ordering and how much you are paying 
  47. for it. Keep these (some fax machines combine a reduced image of the fax 
  48. sent with its confirmation) this is admissable evidence with your Fax 
  49. receipt.
